Field CTO Engineer

Position Overview

As a Field CTO Engineer at Clutch Security, you’ll be the technical point of contact for our most strategic customers and partners. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on collaboration to solve complex challenges in real-world environments.
You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and sales teams to shape how Clutch is implemented, helping customers integrate our platform into their architecture, align with their security objectives, and operationalize protections for Non-Human Identities. Insights from your work in the field will directly influence product direction and ensure that customer needs are reflected in everything we build.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Platform Impact: Lead technical initiatives that enhance the Clutch platform, accelerating adoption, delivering customer value, and driving measurable outcomes.
• Take an Active Role in Strategic Engagements: Act as a technical advisor and trusted partner in high-impact customer interactions, working closely with CISOs, enterprise architects, and engineering teams.
• Bridge Field to Product: Surface customer insights and technical pain points, translating them into actionable feedback that helps shape product strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Field CTO, or similar in security or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Technical Depth: Strong understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps pipelines, identity systems (IAM, secrets management), and security best practices.
• Communication: Ability to clearly explain complex technical topics to both technical and executive audiences.
• Problem Solving: Bias toward action with a strategic mindset and strong customer empathy.
